Okay, we'll be honest with you. Writing an "About Us" page feels a little strange when the story is this personal.

But you're here, so here it goes.

Our father's name was Lumen. And yes, before you ask that was actually his name. He was the kind of man who didn't need much explaining. Quiet, precise, completely obsessed with doing things properly. He built this store twenty years ago because he genuinely couldn't understand why it was so hard to find things for your home that were actually worth owning. Something with real weight. Real detail. Something that looked as good in your hands as it did in the photo.

So he built Lumen76. Named it after himself, which we teased him about endlessly, and spent the next two decades packing every single order like it was going to someone he knew personally.

Because in a way, it was.

We lost him a few years ago. And honestly, the thought of closing the store crossed our minds. It felt like his thing, you know? Like without him here it wouldn't be the same.

But our mum sat us down and said something we haven't stopped thinking about since.

She said: your dad didn't build this for himself. He built it for the people on the other end of every order.

So here we are. His daughters, running the store he built, with our mum right beside us making sure we never cut a corner he wouldn't have cut.

We haven't changed much. The same obsession with quality. The same standards for what makes it onto the site and what doesn't. The same feeling that every order matters because we know it's going into someone's home, into someone's hands on a day that means something to them.

This year Lumen76 turns 20. We're celebrating that. We're celebrating him.
